I am a newly-wed who has found one of the best reasons to be fit and healthy: get married.
I know for a fact that brides are beautiful no matter how much they weigh, but aside from being healthy and living a longer life, being a leaner and fitter bride is one of the greatest motivations there is out there.
I am 28 years old and have been overweight most of my adult life. Like most people, I have tried all the yoyo dieting methods I could think of. And I realized there is no success in that.
When my boyfriend (we shall call him “The Enabler”) of almost 9 years proposed, one of the first things I did was to measure my body fat percentage. The result wasn’t pretty nor healthy. That was the last straw.
Aside from looking leaner and fitter on our big day, I wanted to get back in shape to bring down my body fat percentage. I want to live longer.
This is my journey to become my fittest and healthiest self by the time I am 30 and to be that person in the years to come. I have a long long way to go!
